FREO streamlines all of its IT needs by relying on DEEP

Present in seven European countries, the real estate group FREO has decided to centralize all its IT services with DEEP, a Luxembourg-based provider specialized in IT and digital transformation. The streamlining achieved through this transformation ensures better service quality for the real estate asset and investment manager, at reduced costs.

Active in asset and investment management in the real estate sector, FREO has expanded internationally from Luxembourg, where it has been established for 25 years. The group is also present in Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, and the United Kingdom, and currently has sixty employees, including six in Luxembourg. “Our core business lies in enhancing the value of real estate assets that we hold in our portfolio or through investment funds we manage,” says Erwan Le Berre, Head of Lux and Chief Financial Officer of the FREO group. “Today, our assets under management are valued at €2.5 billion.”

A single partner

Several months ago, while looking for a new partner capable of meeting all its IT needs, FREO turned to the DEEP team.
“The goal was to entrust the IT management of all our European entities to a single provider. This change aimed to streamline IT services and give us access to higher-quality support,” explains the executive. “As the group’s headquarters is in Luxembourg, where our activities are regulated, it made sense to choose a local partner capable of meeting compliance requirements, particularly regarding data confidentiality and localization. DEEP quickly established itself as a trusted partner, able to meet our needs and provide tailored solutions.”

Securing access to tools

In this context, FREO chose to outsource all its IT needs to DEEP, including data hosting, security, and access to office tools.
“The proposed solution, with the adoption of Microsoft 365 from DEEP’s cloud, met our requirements. Our new partner also stood out with advanced security solutions, which are true guarantees of trust,” continues Erwan Le Berre. “Our top priority is to ensure our teams have constant access to the data and tools they need to perform their tasks.”

Proximity and responsiveness

For FREO, it was important to rely on a nearby partner capable of responding quickly in case of problems. “DEEP ensured a secure transition from our previous environment, managed by another provider, to the new solution without service interruption. As part of the migration project, our new partner even sent teams abroad to set up the new environment close to our staff,” says the executive. “Moreover, the teams had the great idea to offer a support service tailored to our needs, with people who know us and can respond quickly. Given the intensity of our activities, it was essential to ensure that any issue could be resolved as quickly as possible.”

Improved service, reduced costs

DEEP didn’t just support the change. The POST group entity dedicated to IT and digital transformation for professionals also re-equipped all teams with laptops through a financial leasing solution. “Being able to rely on a single partner, known for the quality of its services and understanding our needs, makes our lives much easier. We’re happy to regularly exchange with competent people about our challenges.

This transformation also reduced our IT costs by about 50% compared to the previous situation, while benefiting from improved service. We now feel confident and better prepared to face future challenges, especially regarding the integration of AI into our processes.”
