Bandai Namco migrates to a 100% Oracle Cloud environment for its ERP

A world-renowned video game publisher, Bandai Namco has modernized its ERP by transitioning from Oracle E-Business Suite R11 → R12 to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with the support of DEEP France, to gain greater agility, enhanced security, and better cost control.

An ERP successfully migrated to Oracle Cloud

With the on-premise ERP no longer supported, the IT department had to both carry out the application upgrade and rethink the hosting strategy to avoid hardware dependency, enhance resilience, and optimize IT spending with the support of DEEP France.

Customer's area of activity

Bandai Namco is a Japanese publisher and distributor of video games, active across the entire value chain - creating, publishing and marketing iconic licences worldwide.

Objectives of the mission

  • Gain greater control over IT infrastructure costs

  • Benefit from a secure, agile Cloud environment for the long term

  • Ensure Oracle ERP continuity and performance

The support process

DEEP France (formerly Digora) acted as a strategic intermediary with Oracle, ensuring that Bandai Namco's expectations were clearly and effectively conveyed.

The team first installed the development environments needed to initiate the migration under optimal conditions.

After a phase of maintaining the development servers in operational condition, DEEP France orchestrated the switchover to production servers, now covered by a facilities management service.

Customer benefits

  • The Oracle Cloud has enabled Bandai Namco to gain agility and rapidly modernize its IT environments.

  • A complete disaster recovery plan was put in place, with production sites in Frankfurt and back-up sites in London.

  • The project ran smoothly, taking just two months to complete thanks to the responsiveness of DEEP France (formerly Digora).
